- those who want to train to run a 10-Mile or Half Marathon without walking
All "Ready for" programs take participants from where they are to their chosen distances and cover at least six weeks, with many coached in-person workouts (including 10-Mile or Half Marathon practice for the participants' chosen training distances, depending upon experience), a practice of at least 70% of their specific distance, a comprehensive training plan (tweaked midway, if needed, as the participants progress), and a private training group on Facebook. There may be group workout days that will not be coached. Pricing is based on length of training program and variations in coached workout availability.

Why choose Ready for 10-Mile/Half Marathon for your training?
- Small program size means Coach Vickey gets to know you well enough to tailor a program to your goals and needs.
- Vickey is an experienced walker and runner who has raced a wide range of paces, so she can relate to a variety of issues and concerns.
- You choose which 10-mile or half marathon to participate in, if you want to do an official 10-Mile or half marathon at all. (If you're racing one of ours, reach out to see if we are offering race-specific training, which may offer a discount before signing up for this.)
- It's cost effective and provides personalization and individual attention in a small group setting where the coach gets to know each participant.
- All participants are welcome from people just starting to walk for fitness to those who have been racing for years.
- Tracks that are shorter compared to the typical training time for a given distance may have distance requirements before starting. Ex. An 8-week half marathon track requires you to be able to already do four miles. However, if you don't see an option that works for you, you can contact us, and we'll see if we can accommodate your needs.
