Flash Fit Fall Youth (Family) Running Program Race Information

<p>This 6-week program will encourage kids ages ~6 and older to focus on building their aerobic capacity &amp; running endurance. Most sports Arlington kids play require running - either anaerobic bursts or more continuous aerobic efforts - so we will work on building their base!</p> <p><strong>Details:</strong></p> <ul><li><strong>Tuesdays at 5:00pm.</strong></li><li>Meeting at <strong>Washington-Liberty High School track </strong>and running at either the track or on a local neighborhood route - depending on the high school sports schedule. (<em>Coach Kate will email location information the day before each session</em>). Track sessions will focus on managing pace and completion of multiple laps over a given period of time. Neighborhood routes will be run at your comfortable pace. </li><li>Starting <strong>November 4th</strong> and wrapping up on <strong>December </strong><strong>16th</strong><strong>.</strong></li><li>Appropriate for kids <b>of all ages, </b>though parents should expect to participate (at no cost) with younger children.</li><li>Each session, we will focus on <strong>building running endurance</strong> through a focus on <em>running form and appropriate pacing</em>.</li><li><strong>Parents run along for free</strong> - you don&#39;t need to register and run at your own risk, of course, but you are encouraged to join! </li><li>The kids will all receive a <strong>post-run snack </strong>at the end of each run.</li><li>All youth runners will receive a <strong>small finisher&#39;s prize </strong>at the end of the program.</li></ul> <p> </p> <p> </p>
