DLS 5k & 1-Mile for Lewy Body Dementia Race Information

<p>As part of DLS&#39;s ongoing commitment to giving back and supporting causes important to our team members, we are organizing the <strong>3rd Annual</strong> <strong>DLS 5k &amp; 1 Mile for Lewy Body Dementia! </strong>Proceeds will benefit the <a href="https://www.lbda.org/?gad_source=1&amp;gclid=Cj0KCQjw6auyBhDzARIsALIo6v_hg3DsWPqQBfooPGlmWn6yE6Mu-qXMkbq7c6cK4EsfIlPT6pgSWc4aArLpEALw_wcB" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Lewy Body Dementia Association</a>. Lewy Body is a progressive brain disorder many people have never heard of - despite being the second most common type of dementia after Alzheimer&#39;s.</p> <p>Race date this year is <strong>Saturday, August 22nd</strong>. The race courses will be out-and-back and mostly flat along the W&amp;OD Trail. Start/finish line will be on the trail at <a href="https://www.arlingtonva.us/Government/Departments/Parks-Recreation/Locations/Parks/Bon-Air-Park" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bon Air Park &amp; Rose Gardens</a>. All finishers will receive a t-shirt (we will do our best but cannot guarantee a t-shirt for those registering after July 22nd). Prizes awarded to the top finishers! </p> <p>5k and 1-mile will start at <strong>9:10am</strong>. There will also be a <strong>kids&#39; dash </strong>(~300 meters) starting at<strong> 9:00am</strong> to kick things off! Kids will receive a prize at their finish line.</p> <p>Timing will be done manually with a race clock and bibs (no chips).</p> <p>Please come out to walk, jog, run, spectate, or volunteer!
