<h3>Swim Across the Bay 2025</h3> <h3>Charity Race Supporting Ainsley's Angels </h3> <h3>Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 7:30 AM </h3> <h5>START</h5> <h5>Henderson Point Boat Launch 99 W Bayview St Pass Christian, MS 39571 </h5> The shuttle bus will run from near the Blind Tiger on the Bay St. Louis side from 5:30AM to 8:30AM continuously so you can get a ride back to the start after the race if you parked at the start. There will be signs marking the pickup near the Blind Tiger on Beach Blvd. <h5>FINISH</h5> <h5><a href="https://goo.gl/maps/gNH4769L2R2axin7A" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Beach North of the Bay St. Louis Municipal Harbor</a> 100 Jody Compretta Dr, Bay St. Louis, MS 39520 DESCRIPTION</h5> <h5>Swim Across the Bay is a 2-mile, point-to-point swim founded in 2017 that starts at the Henderson Point Boat Launch in Pass Christian, MS. The swim route will be a straight line across the bay to the pier of the Bay St. Louis Municipal Harbor. All participants and volunteers will receive a Swim Across the Bay shirt.</h5> Through this race, we are raising funds for <a href="https://ainsleysangels.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ainsley's Angels</a>— a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting "inclusion without limits." The main way they do this is through their Angel Rider program. Individuals who have disabilities that typically prevent them from participating in races are pushed along the race via a chariot by an Angel Runner. All donations go toward funding equipment that let's Angel Riders fly with the wind! <h5> Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers. We will have a 2 hour cutoff for the race. Any swimmers that do not complete the race in 2 hours will be picked up by water support crews. Any participant that is 17 and younger has to have a dedicated volunteer paddle next to them. All swimmers are welcome and encouraged to provide a kayak escort.</h5> <h5>Participants can park at the finish line. A shuttle bus will be provided to the start of the race or can be dropped off at the start by a friend or relative.</h5> <h5>Gear</h5> <h5>You can use any safety equipment you want including a snorkel or personal buoy. You are forbidden to use any propulsion device including fins or hand paddles. You may wear a wetsuit however the water temperature is typically 80 degrees or higher which is considered unsafe for wetsuits. You must wear a swim cap, but it can be any cap you prefer. We will issue you a latex swim cap if you need one. Goggles are HIGHLY recommended.</h5> <h5> Event Details</h5> <h5>Breakfast items and drinks will be available after the race for all swimmers and volunteers. Volunteers are needed to kayak/paddleboard alongside the swimmers.
