The Swags 10K is now an annual New Year’s Day tradition in Louisville’s Iroquois Park. Join us on January 1, 2026 to log your first miles of the year with friends, family, and fellow runners.</p> <p><strong>Registration Tiers</strong><br />Choose the level that’s right for you:</p> <p>- $10 – Race Entry<br />  - Entry into the 10K or 1 Mile Fun Run</p> <p>- $35 – Shirt &#43; Bracelet<br />  - Official 2026 Swags 10K Race Shirt<br />  - One-of-a-kind collaboration bracelet from Swags &#43; The Kenyan Kids Foundation</p> <p>Add-On Option:<br />- $10 – Race Day Packet Pickup<br />  - Convenient on-site packet pickup on race day morning</p> <p><strong>Why We Run</strong><br />The Swags 10K isn’t just about logging miles — it’s about fueling generosity. Proceeds from the race benefit the Swag Hartel Generosity Initiative, our nonprofit foundation inspired by Swag Hartel’s lifelong commitment to running and community.</p> <p>The Initiative supports three core areas:</p> <p>1. Youth Access – Too many young athletes in our community face barriers to participation because they lack proper footwear and gear. The Initiative works to remove those barriers by providing quality running shoes and equipment directly to those who need them most. Beyond physical access, we aim to build confidence, support healthy lifestyles, and open doors to opportunity through sport. When a child has the tools to participate, it creates a ripple effect that extends far beyond the track or field.</p> <p>2. Community Support – The Initiative partners with the Louisville Sports Commission and other local organizations to expand access to running and wellness programs across our city. Together, we ensure community members — especially youth — are equipped with the footwear and resources needed to stay active and healthy. Our efforts focus on meeting people where they are, providing both essentials and encouragement to help them thrive. By investing in community partnerships, we strengthen the foundation of running culture in Louisville and create opportunities for more people to experience the joy of movement.</p> <p>3. Global Impact – Through support of the Kenyan Kids Foundation, founded by Wesley Korir (2012 Boston Marathon Champion) and his wife Tarah, families in Kenya are empowered through education, nutrition, and sustainable farming. Wesley’s brother, John Korir, has become one of the world’s top distance runners, winning the 2024 Chicago Marathon and the 2025 Boston Marathon, further fueling awareness of their mission. Together, the Korir family uses running as a platform for lasting change, and leaders at Swags have built a unique relationship with them and their coach, Ron Mann — even spending time at the academy in Kenya to learn firsthand about their inspiring work.</p> <p>By participating in the Swags 10K, you’re not just starting your year strong — you’re helping make a difference locally and globally.</p> <p><strong>Event Details</strong><br />- Date: Thursday, January 1, 2026<br />- Location: Iroquois Park, Louisville, KY<br />- Distances: 10K &amp; 1 Mile Fun Run<br />- Start Time: 10:00 AM</p> <p><strong>Packet Pick-up</strong></p> <p><strong>-</strong>Date: Wednesday, December 31, 2025</p> <p>-Location: Swags South (7415 3rd Street Rd. Louisville, KY 40214)</p> <p>-Time: 10am - 3pm</p> <p><strong>Race Day Packet Pick-up</strong></p> <p>-Only for people who selected packet pick-up on race day during registration or register on day of event </p> <p>-Time: 8:30am -9:45am</p> <p>-Location Iroquois Park Amphitheater 5216 New Cut Rd. Louisville, KY 40214</p> <p>This is more than a race — it’s a chance to start the year strong, celebrate community, and give back.</p> <p><strong>Resolution Row</strong><br />Kick off the New Year by connecting with the heart of our local running community! We’re inviting 10 local run clubs and community groups to set up along Resolution Row at the Swags 10K. Stop by to discover new groups, sign up for runs, grab giveaways, and meet fellow runners who will keep you motivated all year long.
