This exciting event encourages participants to dress up as their favorite superheroes while running or walking through the scenic UCF campus. Join us for a fun-filled day that combines fitness, community spirit, and support for a great cause!</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Cause:</strong><br />All proceeds from the Superhero 5k will benefit the Abilities Workshop and their &#34;LoveABLE&#34; program, which provides essential support to special needs families facing crises. Each individual competing in the 5K is required to use the race chip. Official times will not be recorded without a chip. There will be a clock at the finish line to view your time.</p> <p><strong>How will I receive my results?</strong><br />Official results are posted for the top runners in each category. Race staff has all results for on-site inquiries and results are posted on the race website. There will also be a QR Code at the check in desk you can scan to see your results.</p> <p><strong>Can I use my own race chip or tag rather than utilizing the one that is provided?</strong><br />No, you will be provided with a custom chip.</p> <p><strong>Who gets a T-shirt?</strong><br />Only pre-registered runners that successfully complete the registration and payment processes seven weekdays before the race are guaranteed a free race t-shirt. Several hundred additional shirts are printed for the race. Pre-registered runners in the seven days leading to the race are first to receive their shirt and preferred size. The remaining shirts for walk-up and voucher runners are available for free until they run out. Also, day-of and voucher participants may face limited sizes and availability.</p> <p><strong>What if I need help along the way?</strong><br />Qualified emergency medical professionals are available to provide assistance at the start/finish lines.</p> <p><strong>Can I participate in the event with my dog?</strong><br />Yes</p> <p><strong>Can I participate with a stroller?</strong><br />Yes, nurturing future generations of runners is a priority and demonstrating healthy lifestyles to our kids is special. Please, however, start in the latter part of the runners.</p> <p><strong>Should I bring my own water?</strong><br />Yes, but there will be a water station on the course as well as at the finish.</p> <p><strong>Can I get my money returned?</strong><br />We appreciate your race registration. We are unable to issue refunds. We are not in a position to credit your credit card or issue checks.</p> <p><strong>Will the race be held if it&#39;s raining?</strong><br />The race is a &#34;rain or shine&#34; event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a raincoat or hat. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others, so please do not bring them.</p> <p><strong>What happens if I show up late?</strong><br />Runners who arrive after 8:00 a.m. and miss the official start will not be chipped, meaning they will not receive a bib at check-in and must join the race from a designated point on the course. However, they will still receive a shirt and a finisher medal.</p> <p><strong>What will be provided after the race?</strong></p> <p>An awards ceremony will take place after the race at the start/finish location.
