<p>Lake Cane Restoration Society is a 501.c.3 nonprofit, so your race registration and any donations are tax-deductible.</p> <p>Competition Location:  Lucky’s Lake Swim, 6645 Lake Cane Drive, Orlando, FL 32819</p> <p><strong>Register Your Club Team Today! Gather your bravest and strongest members to compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies.</strong><br /><strong>We’re launching our first-ever Doc Lucky’s Golden Mile Club Competition, and we want YOUR club in the race!</strong></p> <p><strong>TEAM REQUIREMENTS</strong><br />• Minimum 5 team members<br />• At least 2 women required on each team<br />• Add your team’s name during registration</p> <p><strong>HOW WINNERS ARE DETERMINED</strong><br />We will sum the times of all 5 team members.</p> <p>Length of Course and start times:<br />Golden Mile- 8:00 a.m. Start by waves, 3 minutes apart:</p> <ul><li>Under 20 minutes</li><li>20-24 minutes</li><li>25-29 minutes</li><li>30-34 minutes</li><li>35 minutes and above</li></ul> <p>Cash prizes for the top three overall finishers in the male and female divisions:</p> <ul><li>First Place $1000.00</li><li>Second Place $500</li><li>Third Place $250</li></ul> <p>Age group awards will be awarded to the top three athletes in each age group for each event.<br />10-u, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99</p> <p>There is also a Special Olympics Division with awards to the top three men and women (No age groups in Special Olympics)</p> <p>Open Water Results: This will be available after the event on-site and will be emailed to all participants after the event has been completed.</p> <p>Chip and cap pick up: Saturday 6:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.</p> <p>ALL ATHLETES will pick up their cap and chip on-site the morning of the race.</p> <p>Body Marking: 6:00-7:30 am</p> <p>ALL ATHLETES must have their race number marked on both arms.  A station will be available for the markings.</p> <p>Technical meeting: A technical meeting for all participants is required and will take place by the dock at 7:35 am EDT.  Course and safety information will be reviewed at that time.</p> <p>Warm-ups: The course will be open for warm-ups from 6:30-7:45 am EDT</p> <p>Marshaling Area: All athletes must be in the marshaling area 1/2 hour before their allowed wave. A map showing the course will be clearly visible in this area for all the participants.</p> <p>Safety: Appropriate safety craft will be provided during the competition.</p> <p>Changing Area: Competitors must leave their equipment in this area.  The Organizing Committee will provide a bright-colored cap for each swimmer. Each swimmer is required to wear this cap.  Thermal caps may NOT be worn.</p> <p>Support Facilities:  Limited showers and changing facilities will be provided.</p> <p>Hospitality: Breakfast and water will be available.</p> <p>Virtual Race Option:  You may choose to do the Golden Mile distance in the virtual swim!<br />The virtual event does not include a finisher medal.</p>
