<p>Join us for the <strong><span style="color:#b08500">13th Annual Silver Bells 5K Race<span style="color:#000000">, </span></span></strong><span style="color:#000000">presented by <a href="https://www.bcbsm.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network. </a></span> Enjoy the start of the holiday season with a 5K race to celebrate <a href="http://www.silverbellsinthecity.org" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Silver Bells in the City,</a> Lansing&#39;s signature event.  Participants will be able to run/walk the 5K marked course in downtown Lansing.</p> <p>We look forward to seeing you at the starting line! </p> <p><span style="color:#2dc26b">The <b>costume contest</b> will return for 2025! Categories are holiday traditional, festive sweater and holiday movies.</span></p> <p><span style="color:#2dc26b">If you would like to take part in the contest, please check in at the Blue Cross Blue Shield tent by 8:45 AM. Del Rio photography will be taking pictures of the contestants. Winners will be announced via email after the race and prizes will be mailed to individuals.</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">Any realized proceeds benefit the Chris and Louise Holman Foundation and Silver Bells in the City. To date, more than $58,000 has been donated to local organizations that support at-risk youth in our Mid-Michigan communities. </span></p> <h3><span style="color:#ff0000"><strong>Packet Pickup schedule: </strong></span></h3> <h5><strong>Friday, November 21</strong> at <a href="https://playmakers.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Playmakers</a> in Okemos from 4 PM until 7 PM.</h5> <h5><strong>Saturday, November 22</strong> on the Capitol Lawn from 8 AM until 9 AM.</h5> <ul><li>You are able to pick up packets for family and friends on their behalf. </li><li>Race day parking is available on City of Lansing street side at no cost.</li><li>Age group awards will be available at the BCBS tent after the event and are awarded to the top 3 in each age group. Age groups are every 5 years.</li></ul> <p> </p>
