10th Annual Equal Access Birmingham Heart + Sole 5K Race Information

<p>On October 11, 2025, Equal Access Birmingham (EAB), a free medical clinic run by medical students from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine, is hosting the 10th Annual Heart &#43; Sole 5K Run <u><b>in person</b></u> for the first time since the pandemic! The goal is to raise money to further our mission -- to provide free medical care, medication, and health education to medically uninsured or underinsured residents of Birmingham.</p> <p><span style="color:rgb( 53 , 152 , 219 );font-size:18pt">Event Details:</span></p> <ul><li><span style="color:rgb( 0 , 0 , 0 );font-size:12pt">Start and finish at The corner of 1st Avenue South &amp; 16th Street South</span></li><li><span style="color:rgb( 0 , 0 , 0 );font-size:12pt">Warm Up let by Battle Republic Fitness Studio who is also giving out free class passes</span></li><li><span style="color:rgb( 0 , 0 , 0 );font-size:12pt">DJ Rob Langford to hype up the crowd!</span></li><li><span style="color:rgb( 0 , 0 , 0 );font-size:12pt">Costume Contest with prizes for the winners!</span></li><li><span style="color:rgb( 0 , 0 , 0 );font-size:12pt">After Party at 11 am at Good People Brewing Company with a portion of sales benefitting EAB!</span></li></ul> <p><span style="color:rgb( 53 , 152 , 219 );font-size:18pt">About EAB:</span></p> <p>We staff two primary care clinics each week, occurring Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. We also hold specialty clinics on Saturdays including Reproductive Health, Mental Health, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, and Optometry. EAB strives to promote health and wellness in the Birmingham community.</p> <p>All proceeds will be used to support the operations of Equal Access Birmingham through the EAB Gift and Endowment Fund.
