<p>Charlotte North Carolina’s FASTEST 5k event </p> <p>Opa! Join us for the 2025 Yiasou Greek Festival 5k and Kids’ 1 miler presented by Novant Health, on Saturday, August 23. This is how the Charlotte running community sends off summer – by participating in the flattest, fastest, 5k in town. This fantastic 5k course winds through some of the most beautiful and iconic avenues in Charlotte’s historic Dilworth neighborhood. And did we mention it’s flat and fast? </p> <p><b>REGISTER NOW</b> </p> <p>Run the 2025 Yiasou Greek Festival 5k with us, then stick around for a cold one with our friends from Adams Beverage.</p> <p>Event Start Times:</p> <p>The 2025 Yiasou Greek Festival 5k presented by Novant Health starts and finishes at 600 East Boulevard in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday, August 23. </p> <p>7:30 AM – 5k start time </p> <p>8:30 AM – Kids’ 1 mile start time </p> <p><b>Packet Pick Up:</b></p> <p><b>On-Site RACE Day starting at 6:30 AM </b></p> <p><b>Midtown: (901 S. Arbors Drive) AUGUST 22 - </b> Friday 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM</p> <p><u><b>About the Course:</b></u></p> <p>This is Charlotte’s flattest, fastest 5k! All events start and finish along East Boulevard, near the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.  Map below!</p> <p><u><b>Timing and Scoring</b></u>:</p> <p>The race will be chip timed using ChronoTrack timing equipment, and all participant results are based on the time the individual runner crosses the start and finish lines, respectively. Results will be available as you cross the finish line.  Just scan the QR code on your bibs or at the finish line!</p> <p><u><b>Bag Check:</b></u></p> <p>There is no bag check service for this event.</p> <p><u><b>Event T-Shirts and Finisher MEDAL:</b></u></p> <p>Participants are guaranteed Recover Brands tee and FINISHER Medal for the <b>FIRST 800 registered.</b></p> <p><u><b>Age Group Divisions:</b></u></p> <p>Overall, Masters, 12 and under, 13-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75&#43;.</p> <p><u><b>Awards Divisions:</b></u></p> <p>The top 3 Males and Females in all divisions will receive awards. </p> <p>Age group and overall winners will be recognized at the post-event awards ceremony, to be held approximately 30 minutes after the first finisher. Unclaimed awards may be Run For Your Life, Midtown (901 S. Kings Drive) Please note, we do not ship unclaimed awards. </p> <p><u><b>Refunds and Transfers:</b></u></p> <p>Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. </p> <p><u><b>Time Limit:</b></u></p> <p>1 hour</p> <p><u><b>Dogs:</b></u></p> <p>Hey, we love us some dogs, too. However, for the safety of everyone participating, dogs are not allowed on the course.  </p> <p><u><b>Strollers or Baby Joggers:</b></u></p> <p>Bring ‘em! We appreciate you exposing the next generation of runners to the race day experience. Based on the number of entrants with strollers or baby joggers, we may give them a separate start time in the 5k event. Please note, there is no awards category for strollers or baby joggers.</p> <p><u><b>Medical Emergencies and First Aid:</b></u></p> <p>Medical services at the start/finish line are provided by our partners at Novant Health. Should you experience an on-course emergency, alert an event volunteer and call 9-1-1. </p> <p><u><b>Water Stops and Porta-Potties:</b></u></p> <p>There will be 1 (one) water stop along the 5k course. It will be located at approximately the 1.5-mile mark. Porta-Potties will be available at the start/finish area. </p> <p><u><b>Inclement Weather Policy:</b></u></p> <p>Events will be held rain or shine unless RunCharlotte in conjunction with our public safety and medical partners determine that conditions are unsafe. Cancellation due to inclement weather will not constitute a refund, nor a transfer. Consistent with USA Track &amp; Field protocols, RunCharlotte reserves the right to alter, cancel, or eliminate any or all portions of this event. </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
