<p>The Toughest 10K Galveston, the second race in the Texas Bridge Series, offers runners the unique experience of crossing a true engineering marvel - the iconic Galveston Causeway. Starting at the Galveston County Daily News offices, participants head northbound over the historic bridge, loop around at Tiki Island, and return via the same impressive structure. While most of the course features the characteristic flat terrain of southeast Texas, runners face an exciting challenge: conquering the 72-foot tall causeway with its demanding 3.5% grade, both on the way out and back.</p>
