<p><strong>Event Overview</strong><br />The Ascent 5K is a run, walk, or roll event hosted by The Phoenix Journey, a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering those with autoimmune diseases to change and sustain a new lifestyle in order to improve their current state of disease one person at a time.</p> <p>This event isn’t just a race, it’s a movement of resilience, community, and hope. This year, to make it extra special, we are encouraging group participants to come rocking their best costumes. Every step on the course represents the daily climb faced by autoimmune warriors. Let&#39;s show some support and rise higher together.</p> <p>Join us on Saturday, March 28th in Spring, Tx at Rob Fleming Park for a family-friendly celebration with music, vendors, giveaways, post-race refreshments, and a whole lot of fun! Some days are harder than others, but every day requires courage and support.</p> <p>The Ascent 5K honors that. Whether you’re an autoimmune warrior, caregiver, family member, supporter, or advocate, this event is a chance to stand together, rise together, and celebrate strength in all forms.</p> <p>We invite you, your family, and your community to join us for an unforgettable day of hope, movement, and unity. Every step makes a difference.</p> <p>With gratitude,<br />~ The Phoenix Journey Team</p> <p> </p> <p> <br /> </p> <p><strong>Event Safety, Weather &amp; Refund Policy</strong><br />The safety of all participants, volunteers, and spectators is our top priority.</p> <p>In the event of inclement weather, the start time of this event may be delayed by up to 1 hour. Past this time, the even course may be shortened or altered to protect the participants. All Next Level Race Management events proceed rain, shine, snow, or cold.  For that reason, we have a strict no-refund policy. </p> <p>If conditions turn unsafe, the event may be cancelled. Event changes and cancellations are at the discretion of the Race Director. </p> <p>We always strive to produce a full and safe sporting event, but sometimes the weather conditions can affect those plans. </p> <p>Considerable amount goes into planning a sporting event and we do so with the best intentions. Unfortunately, no one can control the weather and race directors are not the exceptions.</p> <p>Our goal is to always produce a full event as scheduled and only modify these plans due to safety concerns some of which can be caused by weather conditions.</p> <p>If you are unable to participate in the event, you may contact the event organizer to obtain your packet at another time or if you purchased race insurance, follow the steps to obtain a refund for the event. </p> <p>Thank you for your understanding of these policies and we appreciate your participation.</p>
