The Boys & Girls Wrestling teams at Buhach Colony HS invites you, your family, and friends to the first annual Takedown the New Year 5K. This fun-filled abd competitive event will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Buhach Colony HS in the city of Atwater. Our goal is to raise enough funds to help our young student/athletes purchase new uniforms, warm ups, wrestling equipment, and cover all tournament-related expenses.
Here is the race day schedule:
10:00am-11:00am = Packet pick up and race-day registration
11:30am-11:45am = Kids Race will be 1 lap around the brand new, all-weather Track at BCHS!
12 noon = 5K Run/Walk will be chip-timed by local timers: Alpha-Ro Timing (LIVE Results available at RunSignup.com).
Raffle: Stick around for the post-race raffle! Your bib is your ticket to win one of the many gift baskets and raffle prizes (must be present to win).
Finisher's Medals to ALL participants in the Kids Race. Age-Group Medals for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd places in the following 5K Run/Walk: 10 and under, 11-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Pre-purchase an event shirt or hoodie and pick it up on race day!
