<p><strong>Ready... Set... Race!!!</strong></p> <p><strong>This important charity event is SNIPSA’s largest fundraiser to raise awareness about the plight of homeless dogs and cats in our area. Race for the Rescues is a pet-friendly 5k course beginning at the Alamo Heights swimming pool in San Antonio. You have the option to run/walk the race by yourself, with your dog(s) or in a team. All proceeds from the race support SNIPSA’s spay/neuter outreach in the community and provide veterinary care for our rescue animals. This is to ensure that you have a minimum of 10 runners per team.</p> <p><b>HOW TO REGISTER YOUR TEAM:</b><br />1. Pick your event<br />2. If you are creating a group choose “create a group/team”<br />3. If you are joining a team, choose “join an existing team&#34; and find the name of the team you want to join<br />4. Click continue and fill the rest of the info.</p> <p><strong>AWARD CATEGORIES:<br /></strong>Awards will be in the form of medals (gold, silver, bronze) given for:</p> <ul><li>1st Overall M/F</li><li>Top 3 M/F w/dog (runner and dog must run and cross the finish line together)</li><li>1st Master (over 50) M/F</li><li>Top 3 M/F in the following age groups (Individual 5K only): 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.<br /><br />*All awards will be based on chip time.  Winners are not eligible for multiple awards.</li></ul> <p> </p> <p> </p>
