Run Thru Reston Race Information

<p><strong>The Reston Runners are hosting the 13th annual Run Thru Reston Half Marathon &amp; 5K on Sunday, April 26, 2026, 7:30 AM <br /><br /></strong>The racecourse has some rolling hills on beautiful, paved trails. The course will be well marked and lined with friendly and supportive volunteers to boost your spirits along the way. The half marathon and 5K races will both start on the track at South Lakes High School. The <strong>Half Marathon will start at 7:30 am, followed by the 5K start at 7:45 am</strong>. Both races will finish on the track at South Lakes HS.<br /><br />The 5K race is perfect for walkers and families who are there to support their half marathon runner. We do not allow pets or strollers on the course.  <br /><br />We provide an extensive post-race feast for all race participants and volunteers. The courses are amply supported with eager volunteers, porta-potties (for the Half Marathon), race-course water and Gatorade. Runners and volunteers receive a technical race shirt and other goodies at packet pick up. Race shirts are guaranteed to participants if they register by April 1, 2025. </p> <p><br /><strong>Registration Fees:</strong><br /><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Half Marathon</strong></span>: Through November 30: $85 <br />                       December 1 through December 31: $90<br />                       January 1 through March 31: $95<br />                       April 1 through Race Day: $100<br />Half Marathon participants will receive a custom bib, commemorative technical shirt, car seat cover, and finisher medal<br /><br /><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>5K</strong></span>: through November 30: $40<br />      December 1 through December 31:$45<br />      January 1 through Race Day (April 27): $50<br />5K participants will receive a custom bib and technical race shirt and finisher medal<br /><br />Online registration will remain open through Race Day, April 26 at 7:00am. All registration must be completed online. <br />There will be no late/race day paper registration. <br /><br /><strong>Packet pick up:<br /></strong>Saturday, April 25, 10:00am-2:00 pm at South Lakes HS (11400 South Lakes Dr., Reston, VA 20191)<br /><br />Race Day, Sunday, April 26 starting at 6:00 am at South Lakes HS. <br /><br /><strong>Awards for the Half Marathon and 5K</strong><br />* Top 3 overall Male &amp; Female winners<br />* Top 3 male &amp; female finishers in each of the following age groups: Under 15 (for 5K only), 15-19, 20-24,<br />25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80 &amp; Over. </p> <p>Note: Runners are eligible for a single award. <br /><br />Thank you for registering for the Run Thru Reston HALF Marathon and 5K on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
