Calling all Members! - We are excited to introduce a brand-new annual recognition program – just for you! Some of you will notice that this is similar to the Richmond Road Runners Club’s Grand Prix Competition – good news – it IS and it’s called the RTC TRISTARS!

for every event, committee or qualifying function that you help RTC with.
The RTC TRISTARS program is an annual recognition event that encourages and rewards participation and volunteerism.
RULES
The program runs from January 1 through December 31 each year.
To participate, you must: Register for the RTC TRISTARS Program on-line (RunSignUp) for the current calendar year.
To be designated as a finalist you must accumulate at least 20 points by achieving the following: You must participate or volunteer for at least two (2) Live Red races AND Volunteer for at least eight (8) open water swims. The swims are inclusive of the open water swim/bike events (OWS kickoff, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, OWS finale).
As an option to accumulate extra points:
i. Participate on an RTC Committee OR
ii. Represent RTC at an RTC Event OR
iii. Lead an RTC Workout OR
iv. Being a Mentor OR
v. Taking the RTC Tent to an Event, Setting it up and Returning it. Please Plan Ahead!
Participation and volunteering is not counted when an event is canceled.
You are responsible for either signing the volunteer/participation form at the event or submitting a form here: TRISTARS Volunteer and Participation Form
The event form must be signed on the day of the event or your individual volunteer/participation form MUST be submitted within seven (7) days of volunteering for or participating in an event. RTC is not responsible for missing signatures or forms.
Point standings will be released June, September and December. There will be absolutely no changes made for discrepancies corrected after one month from the official tracking release. It is incumbent on the volunteer/participant to check the spreadsheet promptly.
Participation and volunteering will be recorded in a master workbook.
Points will be calculated and updated monthly.
During the RTC Banquet, RTC TRISTARS Awards will be awarded to those members who achieved 20 or more points during the previous calendar year.
Qualifying Events
- LIVE RED Races (Participate or Volunteer in at least 2 events)
- RTC Open Water Swim (Volunteer at least 8 times)
- Volunteer at OWS Swim/Bike Events
- Lead RTC Workouts
- Participate on RTC Committees
- Volunteer for RTC events
- Be a Mentor
- Take the RTC Tent to an event, set it up and return it safely
- RTC has the right to change the qualifying events of this program throughout the year
