<p><strong>Rise and Shine 5K Run/Walk</strong></p> <p><strong>Date: </strong>April 4, 2026</p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Meadow Ridge Metro Park -  South Entrance</p> <p><strong>About the race:</strong></p> <p>Rise and Shine 5K Run/Walk Fundraiser is more than a race but will be an experience for runners to run with a purpose.  The day before Easter was chosen specifically so that Christ can be glorified and the gospel can be shared.  Rise and Shine will start and end with prayer and offer for those desiring, a biblical message on the resurrected Jesus.  We will have a 200 meter dash for children 10 and under after the 5K.  We would like to serve a meal that brings one’s mind to think about The Last Supper.  We will supply drinks in a small boat that we will label Peter’s boat but instead of fish, it will be filled with drinks!  Luke 5:1-11 Our vision goes much deeper than our building repairs, but that God has no boundaries, and we can share the word of God anywhere.</p> <p>Food, drinks and music following 5K until roughly 11:00 to 2:00 (food will be ready for runners after the race - no need to wait until after awards)</p> <p>There will be tables set  up for information on our sponsors, church and our church ministries.  We will have a large box for people to donate non-perishables to our Hope House Ministry.</p> <p><strong>Registration/BIB pick up:</strong> 8:00 am - 9:30 am</p> <p><strong>Race Time:</strong> 10:00 am</p> <p><strong>Free Kids Fun Run:</strong> following 5K roughly (200 meter dash) 11:00am</p> <p><strong>Awards: </strong>Ceremony at 11:15 ish</p> <p><strong>About Middnaz:</strong></p> <p>At Middnaz, everything we do is aimed at connecting to God, the church and our community around us and beyond.  Middnaz has several ministries we love dearly that God has blessed and grown.  We have children and youth ministries, Hope House, Uplift &amp; Unwind and our newest ministry, Anchored Hope.  Hope House is a ministry where volunteers from Middnaz donate, prepare, serve and share dinner with men that are facing homelessness.  Anchored Hope is a ministry that exists to remind those walking through cancer that they are never alone.  Our Backpacks and BBQ is an outreach where Middnaz provides free backpacks, prepares and serves a full cookout-style meal and offers a welcoming environment for the community.  So not only will this fundraiser help us with our much needed building repairs, but will also help us stay open and continue to grow and nurture our God given mission to LOVE others.</p>
