RANGER 100 - Race Information

<h4><span style="color:#236fa1"> RANGER 100 this year is again partial fund raiser for the<span style="color:#3598db"><a style="color:#3598db" href="https://www.wildmustangs.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary</a></span></span><br /><span style="color:#236fa1"><span style="color:#3598db"><a style="color:#3598db" href="https://www.wildmustangs.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary</a></span> is celebrating 35 years of giving sancutary to mustangs on 11,000 acres of private land in South Dakota. WARHORSE Endurace is partnering with them once again and $5 from every entry is donated directly to this mustang sanctuary once all the entries are filled.  </span></h4> <h4><br /><span style="color:#236fa1"><b>Your Challenge at Your Pace</b></span><br /><span style="color:#236fa1">Also this year is a miles or hours event.  The idea is motivation and momentum in a goal for you and your horse to achieve your milestone of 100 miles, or for those of you who prefer to do hours I think this is the perfect challenge to do either, though need to choose one to track, miles or hours.    You set your pace, the days, you can have a goal of completing in one month or you can take all year, it is up to you.  You decide what is right for you and your horse to create those 100 miles of memories or 100 hours of working together and make it memorable. </span></h4> <h4><br /><b><span style="color:#236fa1">Positive &amp; Encouraging FB Group</span></b><br /><span style="color:#236fa1">Follow to the Facebook Group for more information, encouragement and feedback on the challenges.  Check out our website<span style="color:#3598db"> <a style="color:#3598db" href="https://www.warhorseendurance.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">WARHORSE ENDURANCE </a> </span>to learn more about other challenges.</span><br /><span style="color:#236fa1">Here is the link to check us out on FB! <span style="color:#3598db"> <a style="color:#3598db" href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/WARHORSE.Endurance" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">WARHORSE Endurance Conditioning Challenges</a></span></span><br /><span style="color:#236fa1"> </span><br /><span style="color:#236fa1"></span><span style="color:#236fa1"></span><br /><b><span style="color:#236fa1">WHAT DO I RECEIVE FOR COMPLETION? </span></b><br /><span style="color:#236fa1">You will receive a beautiful, custom made for this event, medal, an embroidered patch and a dog tag to commemorate the100 miles or hours of dedication you have achieved with your horse or run/walking on your own.  Many participants are putting the patch on a jacket, saddle pad or on travel bags. </span><br /><span style="color:#236fa1"> </span><br /><b><span style="color:#236fa1">WHAT MILES or HOURS COUNT?  </span></b><br /><span style="color:#236fa1">We are happy to say that this motivational challenge is open to riders, carriage drivers, those walking with their horses.  And it is also open to hikers, runners and cyclists! We even have had someone roller blading the 100 miles. </span><br /><span style="color:#236fa1"> </span><br /><b><span style="color:#236fa1">CAN I USE MORE THAN ONE HORSE?</span></b><br /><span style="color:#236fa1">The answer is YES!  Though you only get the one medal and one patch per sign up!  We are creating this Challenge to encourage each other and set goals in measurable  increments, after all, showing up is half the battle!   </span></h4> <h4><br /><span style="color:#236fa1"> </span><br /><b><span style="color:#236fa1">WHAT IS THE MEANING BEHIND THE RANGER 100?</span></b><br /><span style="color:#236fa1">When working on the original medal the name RANGER just stuck with me, and I honestly did not know where it had came from, though knew I should stick with it, it was a very old west name, and we all love to be in the open range on our horses, so it stuck.   THEN I came across the story of a young mustang stallion named RANGER who had lost his life, and saw the beautiful images that a photographer had made documenting his life.  That was when the meaning behind the name RANGER took root for me- the mustang, and that we would going forward attach a mustang benefiting cause to this event.  </span><br /><span style="color:#236fa1"> </span><br /><b><span style="color:#236fa1">WHAT IF I AM NOT IN THE USA?  CAN I STILL I AND GET THE MEDAL?</span></b><br /><span style="color:#236fa1">Short answer is yes, though it will take much longer and I only take paypal or a check for payment of the shipping invoice.  The cost of this challenge includes shipping of the medal to USA only.  If you are outside of the USA and do not want the cost of shipping a medal, you will be mailed the embroiled patch only.  Though you can request to have the medal shipped outside of the USA at your cost. </span><br /><br /><span style="color:#236fa1"> </span></h4>
