<h3><strong>What is the Mountaineer 5k?</strong></h3> <h5><br />The Mountaineer 5k is a 5-kilometer race organized by the Summit Academy Parent Teacher Organization.</h5> <h5>We welcome, runners, walkers, and strollers, but no pets allowed. <br />The race benefits Summit Academy Mountaineers. We also want to raise health and fitness awareness, and this is a great opportunity to start or continue your wellness journey!  </h5> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:18pt"><strong>Registration Cost:</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:12pt">Now - January 18, 2026 = $25.00</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:12pt">January 19, 2026 - February 18, 2026 = $35.00</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:12pt">February 19, 2025 - March 18, 2025 = $45.00</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:12pt">March 19, 2025 - March 28, 2025 = $50.00</span></p> <h3><br /><strong>What is included in your registration?</strong></h3> <h5><br />An Awesome finishers medal</h5> <h5>Cool t-shirt</h5> <p><em>***to be guaranteed a shirt and medal please register by February 28th</em></p> <h5>Water stations along the course<br />Overall and Age Group Awards that will be custom made by students in the Dobson High School Ceramics Department. Awards Ceremony will begin at 9am.</h5> <h5>Our age group awards include the following:</h5> <h5>6 and under<br />8-7 year olds<br />9-10 year olds<br />11-12 year olds<br />13-14 year olds</h5> <h5>15-17 year olds<br />18-24 year olds<br />25-29 year olds<br />30-34 year olds<br />35-39 year olds<br />40-44 year olds<br />45-49 year olds<br />50-54 year olds<br />55-59 year olds<br />60-64 year olds<br />65-69 year olds<br />70-74 year olds<br />75 and Up</h5> <h5><br />Post-Race food and drinks at our finish line festival<br />Chip Timed with Real Time Results<br />Please note any race-related items (shirts, medals, etc.) will NOT be mailed to those that do not attend and no refunds will be given. </h5> <h3><br /><strong>The Course:</strong></h3> <h5><br /><br /></h5> <h5>We will start at the Summit Academy Junior High Track, run one loops around the track then onto the canal. The majority of the race will be on the canal and finishing at the Junior High Track.  </h5> <h3><strong>Packet Pick up:</strong></h3> <h5>2 Options:</h5> <h5>Friday 3/27 2:30pm-6pm Packet Pick up in front of Summit Academy Junior High 1550 W Summit Place, Chandler, AZ or <br />Packet pick-up will be morning 3/28 of the race starting at 6:30am.</h5> <h3><strong>Race Day Information:</strong></h3> <h5>No roller blades, skateboards or motorized devices are allowed on the run or walk courses.</h5> <h5><br />We run rain or shine.
