JackFest 2025 Race Information

<p><strong>PLEASE NOTE: It is only necessary to register your child for ONE race, even if they&#39;re interested in doing multiple races.  For example, if you have an 8 year old boy that wants to do both the Elementary One Mile XC race as well as the Superhero Dash, just register them for one of those two races and email us at <a href="mailto:jackfestcville&#64;gmail.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">jackfestcville&#64;gmail.com</a> to sign up for the second race.  Our goal is to maximize participation with minimal cost.<br /><br /></strong></p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>RACE DAY REGISTRATION AVAILABLE STARTING AT 11:30AM</strong></span></p> <p><strong>12:00pm <a href="https://www.jackfest.net/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">JackFest</a> Begins!</strong></p> <p><strong>1:00pm ($10): Girl&#39;s One Mile Elementary School XC Race (Grades K-5th)<br /><em>(Please note that registration in this event allows a FREE entry into the Superhero Dash at 2:00pm--if interested in also doing that race, please email jackfestcville&#64;gmail.com)</em><br /></strong>This was a new race in 2024, and we&#39;re thrilled to bring it back in 2025!  The course will be a gently rolling one mile cross country race over the grass paths at Foxfield.  It is open to all girls in grades K-5th and will be contested in one large field where everyone starts at the same time.  Although all ages compete together, the final results will be broken down by age.</p> <p>Registration in this event will include a 2025 JackFest bracelet.  Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age.</p> <p>Teams: We will also do team scoring for this race, and will count the first three (3) finishers from each school.  The top two teams will take home plaques. When registering, please note that there is a question regarding which school your child is affiliated with.</p> <p>Coaches: Please note that if you&#39;re interested in registering your entire team, please email Alec at <a href="mailto:jackfestcville&#64;gmail.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">jackfestcville&#64;gmail.com</a></p> <p><strong>2:15pm Kids&#39; Superhero Dash ($10</strong>)<br /><em><strong>(Please note that registration in Elementary One Mile or Middle School 1.5 Mile allow free entry into this event--if interested in doing both, please email jackfestcville&#64;gmail.com)</strong></em><br />Kids will compete in a 100-200 meter footrace (distance depends on age) on the flat grass track at Foxfield.  Each age will have its own separate race with the younger ages (2-5) running 100 meters, and the older ages (6 and up) running 200 meters.  The race sections will look like the following, and we will begin with the youngest age groups and go up from there...</p> <p>100 Meters: 2 &amp; Under, 3 Years Old, 4 Years Old, 5 Years Old</p> <p>200 Meters: 6 Years Old, 7 Years Old, 8 Years Old, 9 Years Old, 10 Years Old, 11 Years Old, 12 Years Old</p> <p>Registration in the Superhero Dash will include a 2025 JackFest friendship bracelet &amp; ribbons to the top 6 finishers in each race (age group).</p> <p><strong>~3:00pm (FREE): Child-Parent 2x200 Meter Relay<br /></strong>This race will be free and will conclude the running events for the day.  It will be contested on our flat, grass track and is open to kids of ALL ages.  We will divide this race up into sections depending on registration numbers.  In each race, the child will <strong>always</strong> run the first leg, and the parent will run second.  There is no entry fee for this event.</p> <p><strong>Virtual Superhero ($10):</strong> Can&#39;t join us on the day of?  Sign up as a virtual superhero to receive a 2025 JackFest bracelet.</p>
