Flight of the Heron 5k & 1mi Race Information

<p>Lace up your running/walking shoes and join us for our first annual Flight of the Heron 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run at Blue Heron Homecoming! Our 5k Run/Walk is perfect for runners of all levels and a unique way to experience the Water Reclamation Facility which is usually closed to the public. This is a family friendly event on a paved path and at the Finish Line you will receive a medal, hat and end in a fantastic Beer Garden presented by Missing Falls Brewery. This event takes place during the Blue Heron Homecoming, so after the race, come over, grab a snack and learn about all that Akron Waterways Renewed! has accomplished in keeping our river clean for generations to come!</p> <p>After the race there is a Beer Garden Presented by Missing Falls. This is a working facility so please keep the course and make sure to not enter the marked off areas for your own safety.</strong></li><li><strong>Parking is off-site with a shuttle provided to get you to the race.
