Dave's Run For ALS

Dave’s Run for ALS is a super-fun, family event for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.

DAVE'S DOUBLE IS BACK THIS YEAR BY POPULAR DEMAND (run both the 8K and 5K and win a special prize)!!

The event is named for the late David Filer who was an avid runner, active SAR member, and local business owner. David was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, in the summer of 2000. Currently there is no cure for this fatal disease. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go specifically for ALS research, via the Jim Himelic foundation. Race distances are 8K and FitKidz and Family 1 Mile Run/Walk. Awards in the 8K in 5 year age groups.

7:00am - 8K Walkers & Team Hoyt Athletes Start

7:05am - 8K Main Start (*the 8K is the Running Shop Grand Prix event)

8:30am - 5K Walkers & Team Hoyt Athletes Start

8:35am - 5K Main Start

8:40am - FitKidz Mile Start 

9:15am - Award ceremony for both the 8K and 5K
