Chargers 5K Race Information

<p>Lace up for a great cause at the <strong>Chargers 5K</strong>! This fun-filled day also features the <strong>Chargers Walk</strong> (1-mile stroll) and <strong>Chargers Trot</strong> (fun for kids)! This event benefits <strong>Columbia State students at the Williamson Campus</strong>, helping them stay on track and charge toward the finish line of their degree or certificate. Your support through could provide just what a student needs to keep pace and stay in stride!</p> <p><strong>Sat., March 21, 2026</strong></p> <ul><li>Registration: 7 a.m.</li><li>Chargers 5K: 8 a.m.</li><li>Chargers Walk: 8:15 a.m. (approximately)</li><li>Chargers Trot (for children up to age 10): 9 a.m. (by age group)</li></ul> <p><em>See Pet Policy on our <a href="https://runsignup.com/Race/Chargers5K/Page/FAQ" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">FAQ</a> page. No pets are allowed.</em></p> <p><em><strong>Pre-Race packet pick up: Thurs., March 19, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the lobby of the Arts and Technology Building.</strong></em></p> <p><em>Note: A kids&#39; zone with fun activities will be available from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Children’s activities are designed to be fun and engaging, and a parent or caregiver must remain with their child throughout the event. </em></p> <p><strong>Chargers 5K</strong></p> <ul><li>Early Registration (Mon., Jan. 5 – Mon., Feb. 23, 2026): $30 – includes event T-shirt</li><li>Regular Registration (Tues., Feb. 24 – Fri., March 20, 2026): $35 – T-shirt while supplies last</li><li>Day-of Registration (Sat., March 21, 2026): $40 – T-shirt not guaranteed</li><li>Bonus: 5K participants may join the Chargers Walk at no additional cost!</li><li>Medals: All participants who complete the 5K, including children and teens, will receive a medal, with awards for individuals finishing first, second, and third.</li></ul> <p><strong>Chargers Walk (1 Mile)</strong></p> <ul><li>Flat Fee: $20 – includes event T-shirt if registered by Mon., Feb. 23</li><li>Perfect for families, friends, and community supporters looking for a fun, active way to show support.</li><li>Participants will receive a ribbon.</li></ul> <p><strong>Chargers Trot &#43; Kids’ Activities</strong></p> <ul><li>FREE! – Optional donations welcome to help Columbia State students</li><li>Age Limit: Designed for children up to age 10</li><li>Activities include fun challenges, games, balloon art, and more!</li><li>Ribbons: All children participating in the Chargers Trot will receive a ribbon.</li></ul> <p><strong>Racecourse: </strong>The course begins and ends on Columbia State’s Williamson Campus, winding along Liberty Pike, Turning Wheel Lane, Ovation Parkway, and Knoll Top Lane. Enjoy tree-lined streets and campus sights along the way. Course layout subject to change without notice.</p>
