Brent Kostanko Memorial Walk/Run

Join us in honoring the life and legacy of Brent Kostanko, a dedicated Ann Arbor firefighter who passed away in January 2025 from occupational cancer. Brent’s selflessness, humor, and deep love for his fellow firefighters and community left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

The Brent Kostanko Memorial Walk/Run invites friends, family, and community members to gather in remembrance while raising funds for Neighbors United, a charity that provides vital support for Michigan firefighters battling cancer—a cause close to Brent’s heart.

There’s no set distance—participants are encouraged to walk or run at their own pace, completing as many laps as they'd like in Brent’s memory. Whether you're walking to reflect or running to celebrate Brent’s larger-than-life spirit, this event is about connection, remembrance, and support.

All proceeds will go directly to Neighbors United.
