Bluffton Oyster Run 5K Race Information

<p>The race starts at 8:00AM from the Bluffton Oyster Factory and winds through Historic Old Town Bluffton along the May River. Run in a fast-paced Run or Walk the 5K with the entire family! Both events will be professionally timed by the Palmetto Running Company. </p> <p>We regret to inform you that the 10K race has been canceled. This decision comes as a result of a recent ruling to end all road races on Beaufort County roads. The good news is that the 5K is still happening since it takes place entirely within the Bluffton town limits.</p> <p>The Oyster Run is a part of the Historic Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival. After you cross the finish line, celebrate with other participants and friends at the After-Party and awards presentation immediately following the race. </p> <p>Registration Fees for the race are $35 for the 5K. Prices increased October 1st. T-shirts guaranteed if registered by October 8.  Unfortunately, due to the deadline for T-shirt orders, registrations after Wednesday, October 8, will not include a T-shirt.</p> <p>Divisions: &lt;12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80&#43; Top 3 Dogs and Top 3 Strollers.</p> <p>This year&#39;s charity beneficiary is the SCORE program. The South Carolina Oyster Recycling and Enhancement Program is a SCDNR program that focuses on working with volunteers to improve SC’s oyster resources through direct involvement in hands-on stewardship activities. Volunteer activities include shell bagging, manufactured wire reef fabrication, constructing oyster reefs, oyster shell recycling, marsh grass restoration among many others. There are volunteer opportunities throughout the year and for all age ranges. The SCORE Program works in all coastal counties, as well as in-land.
