About Back the Blue K-9 1 Mile run/walk

We are back for the fourth year for this race/walk. There will be 2 categories, runners/walkers and runners/walkers with dogs. Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners and the top five runners with dogs regardless of gender. A special award will be given to the 1st First Responder to cross the line in uniform. Age group awards will be given out at 10 year intervals. All participants will receive a finisher medal.  It is a dog friendly event for a good cause and should not be missed. Feel free to bring your well behaved dog with you.

The race will begin in downtown Pickens across the street from Main St. in front of the 1st Baptist Church. The race will finish at The Open Door. Music will be provided by The Jaguar 4. All proceeds from the race will go to the The Hiding Place. 

Cash awards for the top 3 runners

1st place $150

2nd Place $100

3rd Place  $50

Packet pickup is Thursday night 4:30-5:45pm Sept 11, 2025.in front of the 1st Baptist Church

Tee shirts will be guaranteed for all registrants before Sept 4th at 9:00 am Registrations after Sept 4th will not receive a tee shirt.  Tee shirts must be picked up at packet pickup.
