Babcock Labor Day 5K

Babcock Ranch is excited to announce our first annual Babcock Labor Day 5K Run or Walk. The course is a scenic 3.1 miles around Babcock Ranch.

Event Overview:

The shirt cutoff date is August 15, 2025. Shirts ARE NOT guaranteed after this date. Any extra shirts will be available after the race. 
EARLY PACKET PICKUP: Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, August 29, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
PICKUP LOCATION: Babcock Ranch Lifestyle Office, 42911 Lake Babcock Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33982.
RACE DAY PARKING: Free ample parking is available near the starting area.

RACE START TIME: 8:00 a.m. sharp. 

Course: Paved roads and sidewalks

Register by midnight May 31, 2025 to beat the price increase.

Spectator-friendly: Yes, the course is great for spectators

Post-race snacks are available after the race.

Awards:
Age group awards are based on off-chip time.
There will be overall awards and finisher medals. If you don't stay for your award, you are responsible for coordinating with Babcock Ranch of when you will pick it up.

1st Place Overall Awards: Male & Female.
1st Place Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters: Male & Female
In-person awards to the top three M/F in the following age groups: 9 and Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+.

A: Yes, the 5K is chip-timed by Beach Bum Timing.

A: Yes, the untimed fun run will start with the timed 5K..
Q: What is the course surface like?
A: The course is paved roads and sidewalks.
Q: Are dogs allowed on the course? 
A: You may run with your dog, but you assume ALL responsibility for your dog. Your pet must be leashed at all times and up to date on vaccinations. Please pick up after your pooch. Participants with dogs will start at the back of the race. 
Q: Are strollers allowed on the course? Course map coming soon.
A: Yes. Participants with strollers must start at the back of the race. 
Q: Is the course good for spectators? 
A: Yes.
