- Jump into water independently and exit using side
- Fully submerge and hold breath, 10 seconds
- Retrieve objects from bottom in chest-deep water
- Rotary breathing, 5 times
- Front and back glide, with recovery to standing in chest-deep water
- Front, jellyfish, and tuck floats, 10 seconds
- Roll from front to back & from back to front
- Change direction while swimming
- Tread water using arms and legs, 15 seconds in shoulder-deep water
- Combined arm and leg action, front and back, 5 body lengths
- Finning arm action on back, 5 body lengths
