<h2>On-site Race Day Registration at 7 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026.</h2> <h2><span style="color:#e03e2d">Online Registration Closed Midnight Thursday</span><span style="color:#e03e2d">, August 27th </span><span style="color:#e03e2d">at Midnight.</span></h2> <p><span style="color:#e03e2d">Vendor Registration closes Monday, August 17, 2026.</span></p> <h2> </h2> <h5><span style="color:#000000">A 5K running and walking event with 1 Mile Fun Run Walk and Pup Strut co-sponsored by Colonial Sports.  Location 2070 Jamestown Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23185 (The Meadow area across from the Jamestown Settlement parking lot).</span></h5> <h5><span style="color:#000000">There will be NO early packet pickup.  Packet Pickup will be RACE Day ONLY starting at 7:00 AM in the entrance to the field across from parking area. </span></h5> <h5><span style="color:#000000">BRING AN ITEM FOR THE RESCUE and receive (1) an additional door prize ticket.  Door Prize ticket will be drawn for a $25 Gift Card.  PLEASE BRING NEW ITEMS ONLY:  dog/cat food (dry or wet), dog/cat treats, dog/cat toys, cat litter, puppy pee pads, gift cards (Petco, Care-A-Lot, Chewy, Amazon) or other needed pet supplies for rescued animals. </span></h5> <p><span style="color:rgb( 224 , 62 , 45 )"><strong>DOG SAFETY:  please remember this is a 1 or 3.1 mile race depending on your registered event.  Consider the heat and your dog’s ability to manage the temperature and running on asphalt.  Water for the dogs will be available at start/finish.  </strong></span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">NOTE:  Dogs are permitted to participate in all events when accompanied by a registered runner/walker.  <u><i><b>Dogs must be in a harness/collar and on a leash or suitable lead. </b></i></u> NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES. </span></p> <p><span style="color:rgb( 224 , 62 , 45 )"><strong>NOTE:  due to the high temperatures expected in late August, we will not have canine awards in the 5K this year. Dogs are welcome to participate in all events but there will be no medals available this year for the canine category.  </strong></span></p> <h5><span style="color:#000000">The <b>1 Mile Fun Run Walk and Pup Strut start at 8:00 am</b> on Saturday. August 29, 2026..  Same starting line as the 5K event.  <u>Dogs may accompany participants on the 1 Mile event as long as they are in a harness or collar and on a leash or suitable lead.  NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.</u></span></h5> <h5><span style="color:#000000"> The <b>5K starts at 8:30 AM </b>on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Runners will utilize USATF-certified course VA20012RT.  This course follows the road running parallel to Jamestown Rd., then right onto Landfall, run to a turnaround, and back to the clearing area.  <u>Dogs may accompany participants on the 5k event as long as they are in a harness or collar and on a leash or suitable lead.  NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.</u></span></h5> <p><span style="color:#000000"><span style="background-color:#ffffff"><b><span style="color:#000000">Pup Photo Contest </span></b></span>after the 1 Mile and 5K have finished.  </span><span style="color:#000000">Entry Fee is $5 and open to anyone onsite with a pet.   Contest Categories include: Best Dressed Pet, Best Pet/Owner Look Alike, Cutest Pet Smile, Best Large Breed, Best Small Breed. Each winner will receive a prize!   </span></p> <p><b>There will be a vendor fair on site with animal friendly and community service vendors for your enjoyment between 7:30 am and 11 am.</b></p> <h5><span style="color:#000000"><b>All participants who register by deadline on August 25, 2026 are guaranteed a race t-shirt.  A limited number of race t-shirts MAY be available for any later registrations but availability and specific sizes cannot be guaranteed.  A die cast finishers medal will be available to the first 175 finishers.  </b></span></h5> <h5><span style="color:#000000"><span style="color:#e03e2d">(1) Beer and (1 slice) Pizza included in registration. </span> Non-drinkers and underage participants will be able to receive a non-alcoholic beverage.  </span></h5> <h5><span style="color:#000000">Parking is in the Jamestown Foundation Settlement parking lot.</span><span style="color:#000000"></span></h5> <h5><span style="color:#000000">Human Awards 5K Run/Walk:</span></h5> <p>Top three male and female overall<br />Top three male and female 10 and under<br />Top three male and female 11-13<br />Top three male and female 14-16<br />Top three male and female 17-19<br />Top three in 10 year age groups from 20-29 through 70-74 and 75 and over.</p> <p><strong>Human Awards 5K Competitive Walk</strong></p> <p>Male and Female Places 1st -5th</p> <p>The 1 Mile Fun Run and Pup Strut will be an untimed event.  </p>
