<p><span style="background-color:rgb( 53 , 152 , 219 )"><em><span style="color:rgb( 0 , 0 , 0 );font-size:14pt;background-color:rgb( 53 , 152 , 219 )"><strong>**Presented by Scuba Quest Dive Centers**</strong></span></em></span></p> <p>Come join a really fun crew for the <span style="text-decoration:underline">Fifth Annual </span>5K RUN FOR THE DONUT on Saturday, February 14&#x1f496;, 2026.  Have a blast on a professionally chip-timed, flat, out-and-back with a loop 5K course that travels through a beautiful wooded neighborhood. Stay for the awards while you enjoy your coffee, donut and other breakfast items!</p> <p><i><u><b>5K RUN FOR THE DONUT IS SANCTIONED BY THE MANASOTA TRACK CLUB, AND IS IN THE 2026 RACING SERIES.</b></u></i></p> <h5><span style="color:rgb( 230 , 126 , 35 )">Costumes encouraged, the crazier the better.</span></h5> <p>Saturday Race Schedule:</p> <ul><li>8:00 am start for 5K</li><li>Fun Run starts 30ish minutes after 5K race start</li></ul> <p>Location: Lakeview Elementary School, 7299 Proctor Rd in Sarasota through Bent Tree Woodlands II</p> <p>All parking and <span style="text-decoration:underline;color:rgb( 0 , 0 , 0 )">indoor </span>bathrooms are at the Sarasota Baptist Church across the street.  Port a Potties available at Lakeview.</p> <p>THIS RACE WILL HAPPEN RAIN OR SHINE. If there are unsafe conditions for runners and volunteers (for example, heavy rain, wind and lightning) the race will switch to a virtual race.  </p> <p><b>Other things to know</b></p> <ul><li><span style="color:#3e5660">Strollers and dogs are welcome. </span></li><li>1 water stop halfway through the course.</li><li>EMS will be on site at the school campus.</li></ul> <p>Your Race Registration Includes:<br />● Awesome Race Shirt - this is a lightweight,100% cotton, soft spun fitted shirt. <u><b>MUST REGISTER BY FEB 1 TO BE GUARANTEED A SHIRT IN YOUR SELECTED SIZE! </b></u>All shirts not claimed by the start of the race will be forfeited and be made available for size-swapping and giveaways.<br />● Special Finisher Medal<br />● Chip Timing<br />● Award Levels- 6 deep in 17 age categories, Overall awards including male and female Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters and Veteran Grand Masters<br />● Child Care in the Kid Zone while you run<br />● Post Race Coffee, Donut and other breakfast snacks - even a vegan option!<br />● Young Life Signature Humor</p> <p>***We are making every effort to have this be a NO WASTE RACE.  If you don&#39;t like your award or the shirt doesn&#39;t fit, you are welcome to exchange it for something else <u>after</u> the race.  (Look for the Award Exchange table in the race village.) You can take a picture with your medal and then turn it back in, and we will reuse it next year.***  </p> <p>This will always be a small, family feel event - race capped at 500 registrants.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>No refunds</strong>, all registrations are donations to keep growing YL in the Sarasota Community.</p> <p> </p> <p>Awards will be available for two weeks at New Balance Sarasota, 1872 Stickney Point Rd starting on Monday after the race if you are unable to stay for the ceremony.  </p> <p> </p> <p>This is a fundraiser for Young Life Sarasota. What is Young Life?
