15th Annual Rowan Rotary Spooky Sprint 5K Run/Walk Race Information

<p>The <strong>15th Annual Spooky Sprint 5k</strong> at Catawba College Shuford Stadium in Salisbury, NC - 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025!  There will be a 1/2-Mile Fun Run (two laps around the track) immediately following the 5k!</p> <p> </p> <p><b>Proceeds</b> from the race will go to our youth programs, making a difference in the lives of children in our community.  The Service Above Self Awards recognize our youth ages 5 to 18 for their service to others.  Every year, Rowan Rotary sponsors students form our local high schools to attend a leadership-training event.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Rowan Rotary Club of Rowan County</strong> is a part of Rotary International.  As Rotarians, we unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>5K Registration Fee:</strong> $25 (mail-in through October 19 and online through October 25)<br />                                    $30 (on-site on October 26)</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Fun Run Registration Fee:</strong>  $10</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Awards (5k):</strong>  1st overall male and female - $50 and memento. </p> <p> </p> <p>Medals will be given to the top 3 in each of the following divisions for male and female runners:  9 &amp; under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 &amp; above</p> <p> </p> <p>Overall winners not eligible for age group awards.  Awards will not be mailed.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Awards (Fun Run):</strong>  1st overall male and female - trophy.  2nd &amp; 3rd overall male and female - medal.  All fun run participants will receive a medal.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>T-shirts</strong> – 5k run/walk participants receive a long sleeve T-shirt.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Check-In:</strong>  12:30 - 2:00 p.m. check-in and race packet pick up at the registration desk in Catawba College Stadium.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Costume Contest:</strong>  Contest for best costumes, children and adults, judged by a panel of Rotarians.  Adult winner will receive a $50 gift card.  Children will receive prizes for 1st and 2nd place.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Cancellation Policy:</strong>  In case of inclement weather, the race may be delayed for up to one hour or canceled if we determine existing conditions pose a safety hazard for the participants. </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Contact Information:</strong>  Alex Bruce - 980-234-0272 (cell or text)</p> <p> </p> <p>Timing and scoring for the 5K will be provided by <a href="http://www.salisburyrowanrunners.org" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Salisbury Rowan Runners</a>.</p>
