YRRC Winter Series 2025 - 2026

Want to run / walk some hills around York County this winter with 200 - 300 of your friends? If so, with nine race venues around York County, the York Road Runners Club Winter Series is for you! Each venue hosts a main event from 5k up to 10 miles, as well as a one mile run prior to the main event. You can run just the 1 miler, just the Main Event, or both. If you can do the distance, we'll make the time. Each main event will have a sweep runner who will stay with or behind the last runner until they finish.

How does the Winter Series work?

• Run 9 races and / or 9 one mile runs for one low registration fee. 
• Participants are assigned a race bib (or bibs) and are responsible for bringing their bib(s) and wearing it for every race they attend.**
• Those opting to run the 1 mile AND the main event will be issued 2 bibs. You must wear the correct bib for each event in order for your time to be recorded for the event.
• Series points are awarded at each race based on your age group (age as of 11/16/2025) placement. (scroll down to see how points are assigned)
• Awards will be presented at the final race based on placement points earned throughout the series. The more races you run, the better your chances of placing!
• Main Event series award categories for males & females: 1‐13; 14‐19; 20‐24; 25‐29; 30‐34; 35‐39; 40‐44; 45‐49; 50‐54; 55‐59; 60‐64; 65‐69; 70-74, 75+
• 1 Mile Event series award categories for males & females: 1‐13; 14‐19; 20‐24; 25‐29; 30‐34; 35‐39; 40‐44; 45‐49; 50‐54; 55‐59; 60‐64; 65‐69; 70-74, 75+
• We have participation swag available at the final race for those who run / volunteer at a minimum of 5 races during the series.
• Plan to hang around for food, fun and the awards after the final race.
• We will have photographers, when they are available, (thank you Clay and Karen) and you may share those photos with your family.
• YRRC supports sustainability, please bring your refillable water bottles. All races over 4 miles will have a water station. 
• No dogs or strollers allowed.  This will be strictly enforced. 
• Roads are NOT closed, please keep left and watch for oncoming traffic.
• Black Cat Timing chip finish for quicker and more accurate results!
• Restrooms are available at all events. 

** THERE IS A $5 FEE FOR ALL LOST/FORGOTTEN BIBS.

RACE BIB(S) CAN BE PICKED UP AT THE FIRST EVENT YOU ARE ABLE TO ATTEND. BIBS WILL NOT BE MAILED.
