<p><strong>Don’t miss Race Day Weekend at the Wiedemann Brewery in the always-friendly confines of downtown St. Bernard!</strong><br />The Wiedemann Mile is a challenging test of strategic speed and pacing run over the bed of the historic Miami &amp; Erie Canal. This rolling cross-country course is mostly flat, with a couple of short-but-challenging hills near the midpoint. The event will take place rain or shine. A free kids fun run will follow the main event.<br /><br />The one-mile course begins and ends in the Bohemian Beer Garden of the historic Wiedemann Brewery, where the original canal wall still stands more than 100 years after commercial traffic was shut down. The top male and female runners will win prize money in the form of brass Wiedemann’s “Good Luck” beer tokens and other valuable merchandise. The $25 entry fee includes a drink of choice and a piping hot Wiedewurst™ on a bun. <br /><br /><br /><strong>Chug-a-lug Beer Relay (four-person teams)</strong> -- Chug a beer, run down to the turnaround at the end of the canal path, chug another beer, run back to the start and pass the baton to your teammate. Best overall time wins Wiedie tokens. Two or three teams race at the same time. The winner is determined by the best overall time. The $10 entry fee includes a drink of choice and a piping hot Wiedewurst™ on a bun. Or you can enter BOTH the Wiedemann Mile and the Relay for $25. <br /><br />Proceeds from the event will benefit the St. Bernard-Ludlow Grove Historical Society.<br /><br /></p>
