Uwharrie Brewing Firehouse 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk Race Information

<p>Join us on Saturday October 4th, 2025 at 9:00 am for the first running of the Uwharrie Brewing Firehouse Walk/Run 5K and 1 Miler. All participants who sign up by October 1st will receive a Race T-Shirt.  All participants over 21 will receive a complimentary Uwharrie Beer at the end of the race, participants under 21 or who prefer a non alcoholic beverage will have a choice of soft drinks, Coffee, Tea or Lemonade.</p> <p>This race will be celebrating the old Firehouse, the Firehouse red ale beer, Albemarle Fire Department and Fire Prevention Week (October 5th to October 11th).  The official theme for Fire Prevention Week 2025, which runs from October 5-11, is &#34;Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home&#34;</p> <p>Packet Pickup will be On Oct 3rd at Uwharrie Brewing from 3:00 pm to 6 pm.  There will also be a packet pick up the day of the race.</p> <p>Runners, Walkers, and Strollers are welcome.</p> <p>We will have Games, Face Painting, coloring books, FREE Jeremiah&#39;s Italian Ice and Fire Safety Demonstrations by the Albemarle Fire Department after the run, so plan to stick around afterwards.</p> <p>This is a race for every pace...</p> <p>Uwharrie Bank is our Primary Sponsor - Fire Chief Level - <a href="https://www.uwharrie.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">www.uwharrie.com</a></p> <p>Cascade Creek Coffee will be on Site to provide all your Coffee, Tea and  Lemonade needs. </p> <p><strong>Uwharrie Brewing Running Club 5k Walk/Run:</strong></p> <p>The 5k Run will be a timed event.</p> <p>Custom Engraved Mugs will be awarded to the Top 3 Male and Female Finishers. Age Group winners will receive a Custom Designed medal.
