Support Scouts BSA Troop 361 --- Hurry & Register!!!
Attention all runners and walkers! Troop 361 is excited to present our fourth 5-K (3.61 mile, actually) race! Please come join the leadership, youth, and committee members of Troop 361 for the third annual Run For The Future fun run/walk. Yes, we call this run a 5-K run, it’s really a little longer at 3.61 miles to honor of our 25+ year history as Troop 361. The race is an out and back beginning and ending at Sertoma Park, Sioux Falls, SD. The course is mostly level, with just a few minor inclines. This course should allow for some fast run times because it is very level. There will be a water station at the turnaround point. We hope to make this race an annual event, and grow the runners, and community involvement each year. Thank you for making our first race a success!
The Scout Oath includes: “To keep myself physically strong. . .” This race in Sioux Falls does its part to help Scouts, adult leaders, and community members keep this part of the Oath.
All proceeds from this race will benefit Troop 361. The funds will be used for include: scholarships for boys in need to go to camps, adult leader training and materials, youth training, purchase of new tents, and maintenance of existing equipment, and much, much, more.
Packet pickup will only be race-day, September 28, from 6:30-7:35am at Sertoma Park.
Athlete briefing at 7:45am, including a flag ceremony presented by the youth of Troop 361.
The entrance fee will include a T-shirt, water, and nutrition at the end of the race. The t-shirt, in the size ordered will be guaranteed if registered by September 16, 2024. The race will go on in all weather conditions, except severe weather that includes lightning thunderstorm/tornado watches or warnings. No refunds or transfers.
