<p><span style="color:rgb( 224 , 62 , 45 )"><strong>ILLINOIS OLDEST TURKEY TROT!!</strong></span></p> <p>58th annual Thornton Turkey Trot.</p> <p><a href="https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/5826097321/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">5k Course Map</a></p> <p>PACKET PICKUP at Running for Kicks on Wednesday, November 25th from noon to 6PM.</p> <p>8:00 AM Packet Pickup Begins </p> <p>9:00 AM- 1 Mile Kids Run (8th grade and younger) &amp; 1 Mile community walk</p> <p>9:30 AM- Community 5k</p> <p>Started in 1968, this race brings out the best runners in the south suburbs and has for over five for decades. Come cover the course that thousands of runners have conquered prior to their Thanksgiving festivities. </p> <p>There is a High School Team competition.  The team competition only requires 3 athletes from a school to be awarded team points (boys &amp; girls, no co-ed competition)</p> <p>Proceeds will benefit the Winged Foot Foundation.</p> <p>The Winged Foot Foundation is a non-profit 501 C 3 charitable organization that has been created exclusively for charitable purposes. The goal of the Winged Foot  Foundation is to assist student athletes in the Chicago area by offering athletic equipment and academic programs to help strengthen the educational &amp; sports activities in their communities. <a href="http://www.wingedfootfoundation.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">http://www.wingedfootfoundation.org/</a></p> <p>All finishers will receive a medal and we will be giving out awards to the top three in each of the following age groups(M-F):</p> <p>14 &amp; Under, 15-19,  20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80 &amp; Older</p>
