The Spooky Duke 5k, 10k, and Costume March

Run, walk, ride, swim, row...mummy shuffle! Join us either in person or virtually for our 15th Annual Spooky Duke 5K, 10K, and costume march! 

Mission:

Parent to Parent Family Support Network High Country (FSN-HC) provides support, education and caring connections to families who: have children with diverse physical, emotional, intellectual or health needs; have a child born prematurely; or are grieving the death of a child. We serve Alleghany, Ashe, Mitchell, Watauga, Wilkes, and Yancey Counties in the NC "High Country"

Our Vision is to touch every family in our community who needs our support.

 Funds raised will help Parent to Parent FSN-HC provide:

• One-on-one connections among families who know the joys and challenges of raising a child with special needs.        
• Support groups where families come together to share ideas and information, laugh, cry, and support each other.    
• Workshops where families gain new skills to help them help their children.

Event Details:

Race Date: November 8, 2025

Course Description: The in-person race will take place on the campus of Appalachian State University. For the virtual race, participants can complete their distance on the course of their choosing. 

Register by October 24, 2025 to be guaranteed a T-shirt!

2025 T-Shirt Pickup and Mailing

We will send out an email with dates, times, and locations for t-shirt pickup.

For virtual participants, if you chose to have your shirt mailed, there will be a $6.00 fee added to your registration.
