The I'm Possible Mile Challenge With Forging Youth Resilience (FYR) Flagstaff Race Information

<p>Turn &#39;IMPOSSIBLE&#39; into &#39;I&#39;M POSSIBLE&#39; by registering as a solo competitor or with a team of 4 to complete the Impossible Mile and supporting Forging Youth Resilience&#39;s mission of providing equitable access to quality functional fitness training and opportunities to teens in our beloved Flagstaff community. </p> <p>Forging Youth Resilience (FYR) Flagstaff is a 501c-3 non-profit that provides mobile, after-school functional fitness programming in the area. Through fitness, teens learn and practice the skill of resilience, using the tenets of GRIT (Growth, Respect, Integrity, and Teamwork). Our classes are currently in:</p> <ul><li>Sinagua Middle School</li><li>Ponderosa High School</li><li>Hal Jensen Youth Rec Center</li><li>Coconino County Juvenile Detention Facility</li></ul> <p>The Impossible Mile Challenge is one mile on a track, divided into 4 laps. Participants complete one functional fitness exercise for the duration of each lap:</p> <ul><li>walking lunges</li><li>broad jump burpees</li><li>bear crawl</li><li>run</li></ul> <p>Solo participants will complete the entire mile without any assistance.</p> <p>Team participants can divide and conquer - each teammate will do 1/4th of each lap relay style. </p>
