<h2> </h2> <h2>Coventry Elementary PTA presents the 2024 Cougar Dash 5k and 1-mile Fun Run! </h2> <h2><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Race Information</strong></span></h2> <p>This flat asphalt course could help you achieve a new personal best. Run or walk with friends and family through the beautiful neighborhoods of Coventry and The Greenlands while neighbors cheer you on. Choose the 5K, 1-Mile Fun Run course, or both! All proceeds from this non-profit event will go directly to programs that support our students.  This event will promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle by raising awareness and educating about the importance of physical activity.</p> <p>Not a runner but want to participate in this fun community activity? <b>Volunteers</b> of all ages and abilities are needed.</p> <p>Don&#39;t hesitate to get in touch with the Race Director: cougardash5k&#64;gmail.com </p> <h3><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Packet and Race Expo Pickup</strong></span></h3> <p>Package Pickup will be Friday, April 12, 2024, from 5-7:30 p.m. in the Coventry Elementary gymnasium at 200 Owen Davis Blvd, Yorktown, VA.</p> <h3><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline">Schedule of Race Day Events</span></strong></h3> <p>The 1-Mile Fun Run begins at 8:30 a.m., and the Cougar Dash 5K starts at 9:00 a.m. Every runner will receive a medal.  </p> <h4><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline">Award Age Groups and Categories for the Cougar Dash 5K</span></strong>                                               <br /><br /></h4> <p>Top Overall Adult (18&#43;) Female and Male Medals:</p> <p>1st Place, 2nd Place and 3rd Place receive engraved medals.</p> <p>Top Three Girls and Boys for the following age groups will receive engraved trophies:</p> <ul><li>Teen (13-17)</li><li>11-12</li><li>9-10</li><li>7-8</li><li>6 and under</li></ul> <p>Every runner will get a finishing medal. </p> <p>*Registrations after April 1, 2024 are not guaranteed a T-shirt.</p> <p>**No same day race registrations. The last day to register for either race is at the Race Expo on April 12, 2024.</p>
