<p>Simply put, we love our neighbors and we love bein-g a part of the greater Johns Creek community.  We are always looking for reasons to gather and ways to have some fun together, and we are always looking for ways to pour back into the community we love so much.  And so, Johns Creek Baptist Church is happy to announce the 2nd annual <span style="background-color:rgb( 236 , 240 , 241 );color:rgb( 35 , 111 , 161 )"><em><strong>JCBC Jaunt 5k and 1mile Fun Run!</strong></em></span> Each year, proceeds from the race go to a different community partner whose work beautifully impacts and enriches community life. This year, proceeds will benefit Autrey Mill Nature Preserve - a collection of talented and passionate people who love our neighbors too - in so many different ways!</p> <p>Registration for the 5k includes a super-stylish JCBC Jaunt T-Shirt and swag bag.  There is no registration fee for the 1Mile Fun Run.  JCBC Jaunt T-Shirts for our Fun Run friends are available for purchase.  <u><b>TAKE NOTE</b></u>: <b>T-shirt cut off date is October 3rd...so don&#39;t delay!</b> (For those who register after October 3rd, inquire about t-shirt availability at check-in.)</p> <h2><span style="color:rgb( 35 , 111 , 161 )">Check-in, Bibs, and T-Shirt Pick-up</span></h2> <p><span style="color:rgb( 0 , 0 , 0 )">Check-in and walk-up registration begins at 7:30 AM.  You will pick up your bibs and t-shirts at check-in.  </span></p> <h2><span style="color:#236fa1">Awards</span><span style="color:rgb( 53 , 152 , 219 );font-size:24px"> </span></h2> <p><span style="color:#000000">Awards Ceremony begins at approximately 9:30 am</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">Top 3 Male and Female Overall</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">Top 3 Male and Female in the age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70&#43;</span></p> <h5><b><span style="color:#000000">1Mile Fun Run to begin after the Awards Ceremony &#64; approximately 9:45</span></b></h5> <h2><span style="color:rgb( 35 , 111 , 161 )">More Fun Stuff</span></h2> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Everyone</strong></span> who registers for the 5k is<span style="text-decoration:underline"> automatically</span> entered into a raffle for some neat prizes.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Jersey Mike&#39;s</strong></span> will be on hand providing a variety of delicious bite-sized subs! </p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>AND</strong></span>...Autrey Mill Nature Preserve will be on hand with some fun stuff for all the kids who have a Mom, Dad, Aunt, Uncle, Grandparent, Babysitter, Good Friend...anybody really...who is participating in the 5k and for all the kids participating in the Fun Run.  Siblings, cousins, schoolmates, friends (you get the drift) too!</p> <h2><span style="color:#236fa1">Race Day Tips</span></h2> <p>After turning in to Cauley Creek Park from Bell Road, follow the signs to the 5k Staging Area.  There you will find event check in, parking and bathrooms.  Additional parking is available adjacent to the sports fields - just a few hundred feet from the 5k Staging Area.  Bathrooms are also located at the sports fields.</p> <h2><span style="color:#236fa1">Why We Are Supporting Autrey Mill Nature Preserve</span></h2> <p><span style="color:#000000">Well...they&#39;re nice people.  And they&#39;re cool.  But more than that, the good folks at </span>Autrey Mill Nature Preserve believe that every child deserves a chance to explore and discover the magic of the outdoors - regardless of ability or income.</p> <p>Whether it’s the thrill of discovering a salamander on a shaded trail, the joy of roasting marshmallows at camp, learning about local history, or the quiet wonder of listening to birds sing—these experiences should be for all children, not just those who can afford it. That’s why Autrey Mill provides camp scholarships to families in need and thoughtfully adapts their programs for children with medical challenges and different abilities. Our support helps Autrey Mill Nature Preserve keep saying “yes” to every child who needs a place to belong, grow, and thrive in nature.</p> <p>Johns Creek Baptist Church (and the whole Johns Creek Community!)<span style="color:#000000"> is pleased to have a chance to help open the woods to everyone with the proceeds from the 2nd Annual JCBC Jaunt.   </span> </p>
