Team up! 5K Race Information

<p>Join us on Saturday, September 27th for our annual <strong>TEAM UP! 5K</strong>, starting at 8:00 am. Run the race to try to win a prize or walk the course with a Team of friends!</p> <p><strong>The race starts/finishes at 8:00 am at:</strong><br /><strong>The Salvation Army, Fairfax Corps Community Center</strong><br /><strong>4915 Ox Road</strong><br /><strong>Fairfax, VA 22030</strong></p> <p>Our annual 5K is a fundraiser and community-building event in support of the Salvation Army&#39;s free afterschool programs that serve the Fairfax County community. Funds raised help us to provide:</p> <ul><li>Character building programs</li><li>Music Instruction</li><li>Homework Help</li><li>A warm meal for every student each day....And More!</li></ul> <p><br /><strong>5K Registration Fees:</strong><br />$35 through May 31<br />$40 June 1 through August 31<br />$45 September 1 through Race day (September 27)</p> <p>$20 for 16 &amp; Under participants<br /><br />Online registration will close on Wednesday, September 25 at 8:00 pm.<br />In person registration will be available during packet pick up and on race morning.</p> <p>T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for all participants registered by September 1st. Participants who register after September 1, will receive a t-shirt on a first come, first served basis until our supply runs out. </p> <p>Teams of runners are welcome and encouraged!</p> <p><strong>Packet pick up</strong> will be on Friday, September 28 at The Salvation Army, 4915 Ox Rd, Fairfax, VA 22030 from 4:00-6:00 pm</p> <p><strong>Awards</strong> will be given to the top 3 male and female overall finishers!</p> <p><strong>Race Day Event Timeline!</strong></p> <ul><li>7:15 am - Race day registration &amp; packet pick-up opens</li><li>7:45 am - Warm up</li><li>8:00 am - 5K Run and Walk starts</li><li>After the race, stay and enjoy music, post race snacks, and visit our sponsor booths. </li></ul> <p><strong>Course: <br /></strong>Start - The Salvation Army, going North on Ox Road<br />Right Turn onto Braddock Road<br />Right Turn onto Sideburn Road (water station at Oakview Elementary)<br />Cross Intersection with Right Turn onto Zion Drive<br />Cross Intersection with Right Turn going South Ox Road<br />Finish - The Salvation Army<br /><br />Visit us on Facebook</p> <p>The Salvation Army of Fairfax, Virginia invites sponsors to support our after school programs and local businesses to join us at our onsite vendor fair on race day.
