Rhonda worked nearly 20 years as a surgical tech. She worked for Southern Illinois Healthcare for many years and finished her career at The Orthopaedic Institute of Southern Illinois. Rhonda loved her profession! Many of her co-workers called her “Grandma” since she was older than many of those she worked with. However, her former co-workers will tell you that she could work circles around most people. After Rhonda’s passing, her family decided to honor her memory by raising funds to provide scholarships for the Surgical Tech program at John A. Logan College. The funds raised through this 5K and other related events will be used to provide scholarships through the John A. Logan College Foundation and helps others pursue the same career Rhonda did.
