St. Bernadette 16th Annual Turkey Trot 2024

St. Bernadette's 16th Annual Turkey Trot will once again be held in-person with a virtual option as well!  We hope our familiar faces will come out to support this community event and that some new faces will join us in virtual format from anywhere you live! As always, our commemorative 2024 Turkey Trot t-shirts will be issued to registered participants (must register by 11/8/2024 to guarantee a shirt for your family). Please note, if your child registers for the race/walk and dumpling dash, they will only receive 1 shirt.

As in previous years, we have partnered with the experts at Bryn Mawr Racing and will again use RaceJoy, a live running application to ensure a successful virtual run for those who choose that option. We look forward to celebrating this event and our amazing participants via our social media pages! 

Those with the fastest time in their age group for the In-Person 5k race will also receive a Turkey Trot medal!

EVENT DETAILS

Our 16th annual 5k run (or walk) is a single loop 5k and is professionally chip timed by Bryn Mawr Racing. The course takes you through a beautiful tree-lined neighborhood starting and finishing at St. Bernadette School on Bond & Turner Avenues in Drexel Hill. The even also features a 1-Mile Family Fun Walk and Dumpling Dash for the little ones (10 and under).

If participating virtually, the 5k run/walk or the 1-Mile Family Fun Walk can take place anytime during the week leading up to the in-person race (11/23/24-11/30/24). You can run or walk through our traditional Turkey Trot route (choose the Bernie's Route option when you register and the RaceJoy app will map it for you on your phone) - or - choose your own 5k route with the RaceJoy app.

VIRTUAL RUNNERS: You will have a week (11/23/24 - 11/30/24) to submit your time online. Once your time is submitted, you will have the option to print a commemorative certificate.

FUNDRAISING

Same as last year, this year anyone can create a Fundraising page to support St. Bernadette School and share with friends and family to help raise valuable funds for Bernies! 

INCENTIVES

• Registered participants are guaranteed a 2024 Turkey Trot T-Shirt (MUST register by 11/8/24 to be guaranteed a shirt)
• Bernies covers the online processing fee if you register before 10/26/24
• Medals will be awarded to the fastest 5k runner in each age category
• Bernie's students who register to run or walk will receive a N.U.T. pass
• Bernie's students will be able to wear their 2024 Turkey Trot shirt on a designated school day
