Spooktacular Storybook 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run

Step into a storybook to support local libraries!

The Friends of the Public Libraries of Cullman County are hosting the Spooktacular Storybook 5K and 1-mile Fun Run!

Dress up as your favorite book character for a chance to win prizes.

Online pre-registration closes 10/22/25 at 11:59 p.m. You may register in-person for both races between 6:30-7:45 am on race day! The 5K race begins at 8 a.m. and the 1-mile run begins at 8:30 a.m. Running Lane is timing our event. Costs will rise $5 on August 26th and again on September 26. The last day to register with a t-shirt will be October 1st. 

Race day check-in begins at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 7:45 SHARP. Check-in is located at Cullman County Public Library at 200 Clark St NE, Cullman, AL 35055.

While we love our furry friends, we do ask that you keep your pets at home or to greet you at the start/finish line. For liability reasons, we cannot allow them to run the race.
