<p style="line-height:1">Support the <strong>South Hills Children&#39;s Choir</strong> for a song. Run/walk the beautiful Panhandle Trail and let your pavement pounding give more kids a chance to sing!</p> <p style="line-height:1">Soles for Songs 5K is an out-n-back 5K in Southwestern PA on the Panhandle rail-trail located at Helicon Brewing in Oakdale. All proceeds benefit the non-profit South Hills Children&#39;s Choir&#39;s scholarship fund. Move your feet to help them keep the beat!</p> <p style="line-height:1">With cool early spring temperatures, and a flat out-n-back, this is a great event to set a 5K PR!</p> <p style="line-height:1"><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Cost:</strong></span><br />Early registration on, or before, 03/06/26: $30.00 (&#43; processing fee)<br />Late registration after 03/06/26: $40.00 (&#43; processing fee)</p> <p style="line-height:1"><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Parking:</strong></span><br />Free parking in the Helicon Brewing paved lot with additional parking on the grass located on the left and right of the Helicon Brewing entrance (see parking &amp; registration map below).</p> <p style="line-height:1"><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Registration &amp; Packet Pickup:</strong></span><br />Registration and packet pickup starts at <strong>8:00 AM</strong> on race day. The race starts at <strong>9:00 AM</strong>.</p> <p style="line-height:1"><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Rules:</strong></span><br />This event will be held on a public rail-trail, and the course will be shared by both participants and non-participants during the event. As such:<br />1) Please share the trail. Please keep to the right side of the trail, keeping no more than two abreast<br />2) Children, pets and strollers are welcome, but please keep room on your left to allow others to pass<br />3) Please do not litter and pick up after your pets<br />4) Please let the race organizer or timing person know if you don&#39;t finish<br />5) No bikes please<br />6) Please have your bib visible on the front of your body<br />7) Have fun!</p> <p style="line-height:1"><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Swag:</strong></span><br />Early registrants will receive a t-shirt and a &#34;goodies&#34; bag. Late registrants will not be guaranteed a shirt and/or bag.</p> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline">Restrooms</span>:</strong><br />The restrooms in the Helicon Brewing building will be available.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Aid Stations:</strong></span><br />The aid station at the start/finish will have water and other food items for participants. There will be a water-only aid station at the 0.8 &amp; 2.3 mile marking at the Scotch Hill Road crossing.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Course:</strong></span><br />5K out-n-back on crushed limestone of the Panhandle Trail (see Course below).</p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Food:</strong></span><br />Helicon Brewing (heliconbrewing.com) opens &#64; 11 am and they have a food truck. Also, within walking distance, there is The Diner, Pepperoncini&#39;s Pub &amp; El Marro Restaurant.</p>
