About Shaver Lake Mile High Triathlon

GARNET FIRE UPDATE

 

The Shaver Lake Trathlon has moved to Lake Evans in the Buena Vista Recreational Area.

Due to the Garnet Fire, there is significant fire-fighting activity in and around Shaver Lake. The fire continues to spread, and air quality has been shifting rapidly between good and hazardous as wind conditions change.  We have received official notice from the Sheriff’s Office that the Triathlon cannot take place at Shaver Lake on September 14th.

 

With short notice, Kern County Parks & Recreation has graciously allowed us to relocate the event to Lake Evans on the same date.

 

Participants can complete a form to select from 3 choices..

  • Participate in the Shaver Lake Triathlon at Lake Evans on Sunday 9/14/25

  • Defer to next year

  • Transfer to another Sierra Cascades Race

 

Please do not contact the race by email to make your selection, all transfers must be done through the google form to ensure proper follow through.  We have a lot of work to do to move the race and may not be able to respond quickly this week to individual E-Mails.
