The Thanksgiving Day 5K takes place on a scenic course during the beginning of summer, here in the Pacific Northwest. It starts on the East Puyallup Foothills Trailhead, near the parking area, and goes through the cool paved foothills trail 1.7 miles and returns to the start point. There is one road crossing, and one fun trail rail crossing on the route that rarely sees a very slow train. The event also includes pre/post-race music to keep participants motivated to finish. This is not a competitive race and may not be officially timed. The goal is to get families out for some fun/exercise. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to promote Men's Health Awareness.
