<p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><em><strong>***PERMITS SUBMITTED AND PENDING WITH DNR***</strong></em></span></p> <p>Well, one of our local beloved trail races of over 20 plus years has been laid to rest but it&#39;s time to pick up the torch and replace it with another.  All the same distances, on the same trails, and in our beloved Morgan Monroe State Forest.</p> <p>Behold......<span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Run with the Squirrels</strong></span> coming the spring of 2026. (Permits Pending)</p> <p><strong>(This is in no way sanctioned, presented, hosted, or affiliated, in any way with Hoosier Hikers Council)</strong></p> <p>Distances of 5k, 10k, 10 mile and half marathon.</p> <p>It will be very similar in the fact it is low cost and low frills. No finisher medals, just the satisfaction that you did something amazing out in mother nature...WooHoo! </p> <p>There will be basic aid stations for the 10k, 10 miler, and 13.1 mile events. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Race fee does not include a T shirt.</strong></span> This has been a request by numerous runners to decrease on waste.</p> <p>If you would like to purchase one you have the option to make it an add-on for $15. <span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>You must add the shirt before APRIL 10th</strong></span>. There might be limited quantities on hand on race day.</p> <p>These will be made by our local T-shirt guru BadKnees Tees.</p> <p>Come join us and lets have some trail fun...WooHoo! </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
