Join Us for a 5K with a Colorful Twist!
This local 5K may follow a familiar format—but with a vibrant splash of Pink! Runners are encouraged to wear as much pink as they’d like to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness. The scenic course winds along the shores of First Street Beach and through downtown Manistee, starting and finishing near the Manistee Municipal Marina.
Please note, this is currently an unofficially timed event. While there will be clock at the start/finish line, runners are encouraged to keep their own time for more accurate finishing times. Runners who complete the race will receive a finishing medal but there will be no age group awards.
Packet/Bib Pickup
- Bibs can be picked up the day of the race starting at 8:00am until 8:45am. Registration will remain open until the race begins to include same-day signups.
- Bibs can also be picked up at the Manistee Hospital Community Health Center on Friday, October 3rd from 12pm until 5:30pm. The Community Health Center is located at 1345 E. Parkdale Ave, Manistee, MI, 49660.
- Feel free to decorate your bib with any names, memories, or any other designs you'd like to showcase for who or why you are participating!
Spectators are welcome and encouraged to join the fun—just don’t forget to wear pink!
Post-Race Remembrance Walk
As part of our ongoing commitment to honor and support those affected by cancer, we invite you to participate in this year’s Remembrance Walk in downtown Manistee. The walk will begin shortly after all Run the Town Pink 5K race participants have completed their route, with a heartfelt ceremony held at the fountain on the corner of River and Pine Streets.
The ceremony will feature inspiring words from our hospital president, Kelly Tomaszewski, and a moving prayer led by our Chaplain, paying tribute to those who are fighting, have survived, or have lost their battle with cancer.
Following the ceremony, the walk will begin shortly after 10:00 AM, proceeding down River Street to Division Street and returning along the sidewalks. We walk in solidarity, remembrance, and hope.
Wear pink to show your support and help us turn the town pink with love and awareness.
Why We're Doing This
All proceeds from the event will benefit Paint the Town Pink, one of Manistee County’s largest events supporting breast cancer patients and their families. For over a decade, Paint the Town Pink has honored those affected by cancer while raising vital funds and awareness for this important cause. We’re proud to carry on this meaningful tradition.

- A breast biopsy chair
- Enhancements to breast health services and education at Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital
