Run Like a King 5K

WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE SUPPORT
We’re excited to host our very first 5K this October — and we hope to make it an annual tradition! This rain-or-shine event is perfect for individuals and families alike, welcoming everyone from casual walkers to enthusiastic runners in Quakertown Borough on Saturday, October 18, 2025. After the race, stick around to connect with local fire departments, who will be onsite in support of Fire Safety Awareness Month. It’s a great opportunity to stay active, support a good cause, and learn more about keeping your home and loved ones safe.

This initiative aims to raise funds for our non-profit organization, King Family Memorial Foundation, Inc. (KFMF), which was established in response to a tragic event that occurred in Quakertown on Christmas morning in 2021. The King family, residing in Quakertown, faced a devastating house fire; while Kristin and Brady were lucky to survive, Eric (the father), along with their children, Liam and Patrick, tragically did not escape, nor did their dogs, Darla and Maggie.

Our mission is to provide assistance and support to those who have experienced the unimaginable loss of spouses, parents, children, and siblings due to house fires. We also aim to help those who have lost their homes and are left with only the clothes on their backs. Additionally, we want to educate the children in our community and surrounding areas about fire safety, ensuring they know how to react in such terrifying situations. We also aspire to offer financial support to local fire departments whenever possible, continuing to honor the legacy of Eric, Liam, and Patrick while providing ongoing support and love to Kristin and Brady.

    $30 EARLY BIRD registration until 8/31

    $40 registration from 10/1-10/18 (Shirts/headbands will not be provided to any registrations after 9/30)
1 Mile All Age Stroll (Headband and swag bag are provided)
    $15 EARLY BIRD registration until 8/31
    $20 registration from 9/1-9/30 
    $25 registration from 10/1-10/18 (Headbands will not be provided to any registrations after 9/30)
1/2 Mile Fun Run (ages 10 and under) (giveaway included)

VIRTUAL 5K (Run & Walk) – Run Submissions accepted from 10/1-10/18 (Dri-fit shirt, swag bag and finishers medal are provided)

PARKING INFORMATION
    Free parking at the corner of 4th & Mill and Quakertown Community Pool
    Please be mindful of on-street parking; Quakertown has moved the to Park Mobile App and everything all paid parking will be labeled – participants are responsible for any parking fees/fines incurred. 
    Quakertown Library has normal operating hours on race day; anyone who parks in this lot is subject to having their vehicle towed at their own expense.
